Whoooo are you?

Grateful Hippie is a couple friends that enjoy making tie dye t-shirts, hemp jewelry, greeting cards and, all things handmade. We are not some major internet company that has sales into the stratosphere. No, were just hobbyists. But, we should start from the start.

Back in the 90's Chris was making and selling body oils and incense and that famous collection of stickers as Prehistoric Treasures. Chris was selling at all kinds of festivals. Some of the places were places like Wilmer's park, Sunshine Daydream Music Park, Grateful Dead shows on the east coast, the mall in Wash. D.C. on the 4th of July at the smoke out. (Do they still do that?), and so on.

Chris was a well know fixture of shows during this time, very popular for his incense that, when it burned, really smelled like the scent not burning wood. Back in the day, People would come and stand in front of his stand and read the stickers for long stretches of time. The fact that there were over 2000 stickers to look at of course took some time. During this time the Grateful Hippie website was on the domain greatfulhippie.com (don't have it now sadly) the site did fairly well.

In 2003 Chris moved to Romania. The oils and stickers were sold off and at that point the website shut down as Chris was not able to work it while being in Romania. Grateful Hippie went on a vacation for 8 years.

Like all vacations it came to an end after Chris noticed that a lot of people were asking about his tie dyes. Chris was always know for wearing tie dyes and in Romania it was not something that one could just go out and buy at a store. So, Chris bought all the supplies and start making them for friends and charities. With help from Laura & Ioana, Grateful Hippie was reborn. It took some time for grateful Hippie to adapt to a new culture, environment, not to mention language.  But, We did survive!

Now Grateful hippie is back and bringing hemp jewelry hippie stickers, and tie dyes to Romania.

Meet the Grateful Hippie Team

	Chris Function: Everything. Just your basic average indentured servant. About: We keep this guy around just so we can watch him squirm.
Ioana Function: Public Relations, Sales About: Ioana is a student and handles all thing relating to the public. Ioana is fluent in both English and Romanian.
	Laura Function: Administration, Buyer About: Laura is the one who makes sure all is working in the Grateful Hippie World. Without her help Grateful Hippie would fall apart. Laura also is fluent in both English and Romanian.
